February Layout

My Feb class is scheduled for Monday Feb 11th at 7PM at our house. The cost is $8. The pages come together very quickly. You will need to bring your own adhesive. This layout holds 3-4x6's, 1-4x4, and 4-3 x 3 photos. Since Valentine Day will be a few days away form our class we will make one of Close to my Heart's Who's Your Valentine treat boxes. The cost for the boxes are $2 each

The layout above shows off not only the Close to my Heart Dakota paperpack, but my lovely family. This layout is taken from one of Jeanette Lynton's (founder and CEO of Close to my Heart) scrapbooking  program books. I love using the books to help me arrange my layouts and help me decide how many photos I can nicely arrange. This paper pack is so easy to use for all sorts of events.
This Layout is also using the Dakota paperpack. This layout is also a layout you can find in our newest Make it from Your Heart pattern book. I loved this layout for our photos.

This layout also shows off the Dakota paperpack and my grandson showing his pigs at the fair. This layout uses our flip flaps to add extra pictures to a layout.

You can see how the top picture flips open. There are actually 5 pictures in that one spot. I love flip flaps for those layouts that I have too many photos that I don't want to just settle for a few of them.
Close to my Heart has so many neat products. You can go to my site and check them out. scrappydeb.ctmh.com
Our new idea book will be available on line Feb 1st. You won't want to miss it.

Happy New Year

     Happy New Year !!!!

Since 2012 slipped away from me, I need to seriously get busy with my personal scrap-booking. I'm working on my grandson's book. These pages were from 2011 summer in Florida visiting Grammy and Pa's house. I feel accomplished. I got 8 pages done
this weekend. I hope to get alot more done and play catch up.

I'll be posting the January Close to my Heart class pages soon. Keep checking back, and I'll sent reminders too.

Christmas gift ideas from open house

This cute little snow man was
easily made using a small gift tin and using one of our new
snowmen stamps. Filled with fake snow, seed beads, and
glittery dots. It's a magnent

This cute little snowman ornament is made from a tea light. When I was painting his nose the table got bumped by one of the grandkids so we have an extra orange spot under his nose.LOL!!!!

This project uses a brown paper bag to make a cute gift card or Christmas card. In paper crafting we use everything not just paper to create unique gifts.
This is the cutest gift if you are a tea drinker.  You are giving them two individual tea tea bags-one Constant Comment and a Vanilla Carmel. You can personalize it. And the saying on the back is cute. On Christmas Day at
half past three-
have yourself a
cup of tea. I'll
think of you-
you'll think of
me sitting around
the Cristmas tree

This is a brown paper bag that can be used for a small gift also. I love these cute things we made at my open house last weekend.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

December Layout

Chistmas is FAST approaching. I honestly can't tell you were the last 3 months have gone. But if I don't  get myself in gear it will pass me by. We put up the Christmas tree last night and now I'm in the holiday mood. I just finished my Christmas layout using our new Pear n Partridge paper pack, and used the new Cricut Artiste to cut some of the tags for this layout. I saw this design on our artboard. I've tweaked it  somewhat to make it mine. But loved the original creation-can't remember who it was.

Here are the left and right pages close up

This class will be held on Dec 10 at 7PM. Bring your own adhesive of choice. The cost is $ 10.00. Chocolate is provided, and a snack as usual. Hope you can make it. I love this layout!!!!!!!!
Be sure to RSVP by Dec 3.

Oct 8th Scrap class

This October layout is Halloween based. It features our Paper pack Moonlight, our awesome chipboard thickness diminsional elements($4.95)- Believe it or not there will be NO STAMPING on this layout. I can't believe it myself. I always stamp something.
The class is scheduled on Monday Oct 8th at 7PM at our place. It should only be a half hour long. The new diminsional elements make this page come together very quickly. The cost is $8. If you could bring your own a dhesive it would be helpful. You will have enough diminsional elements to do another layout on your own. Please RSVP if planning on attending
I went to Florida this past weekend and put this class together very quickly. I had enough diminsional elements to do a second page using the same paper pack- Moonlight($9.95). Here it is!!!

If you want the complete paperpack so that you can finish your own layout. Just let me know. I can order it in advance or at class time.

I had time to play recently with Close to my Heart Christmas Paper and embellishments and here is what I did. This idea came from Lisa Stenz- she is another consultant and did this for Convention. It uses 1/3 of the Pear and Partridge paper pack, Holiday Dimensional elements($5.95), Pear and Partridge glitter rub-ons, new Rosette ribbon(few cents), and a printers tray($20). Costly but would make a great Christmas gift.
