Christmas gift ideas from open house

This cute little snow man was
easily made using a small gift tin and using one of our new
snowmen stamps. Filled with fake snow, seed beads, and
glittery dots. It's a magnent

This cute little snowman ornament is made from a tea light. When I was painting his nose the table got bumped by one of the grandkids so we have an extra orange spot under his nose.LOL!!!!

This project uses a brown paper bag to make a cute gift card or Christmas card. In paper crafting we use everything not just paper to create unique gifts.
This is the cutest gift if you are a tea drinker.  You are giving them two individual tea tea bags-one Constant Comment and a Vanilla Carmel. You can personalize it. And the saying on the back is cute. On Christmas Day at
half past three-
have yourself a
cup of tea. I'll
think of you-
you'll think of
me sitting around
the Cristmas tree

This is a brown paper bag that can be used for a small gift also. I love these cute things we made at my open house last weekend.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

December Layout

Chistmas is FAST approaching. I honestly can't tell you were the last 3 months have gone. But if I don't  get myself in gear it will pass me by. We put up the Christmas tree last night and now I'm in the holiday mood. I just finished my Christmas layout using our new Pear n Partridge paper pack, and used the new Cricut Artiste to cut some of the tags for this layout. I saw this design on our artboard. I've tweaked it  somewhat to make it mine. But loved the original creation-can't remember who it was.

Here are the left and right pages close up

This class will be held on Dec 10 at 7PM. Bring your own adhesive of choice. The cost is $ 10.00. Chocolate is provided, and a snack as usual. Hope you can make it. I love this layout!!!!!!!!
Be sure to RSVP by Dec 3.

Oct 8th Scrap class

This October layout is Halloween based. It features our Paper pack Moonlight, our awesome chipboard thickness diminsional elements($4.95)- Believe it or not there will be NO STAMPING on this layout. I can't believe it myself. I always stamp something.
The class is scheduled on Monday Oct 8th at 7PM at our place. It should only be a half hour long. The new diminsional elements make this page come together very quickly. The cost is $8. If you could bring your own a dhesive it would be helpful. You will have enough diminsional elements to do another layout on your own. Please RSVP if planning on attending
I went to Florida this past weekend and put this class together very quickly. I had enough diminsional elements to do a second page using the same paper pack- Moonlight($9.95). Here it is!!!

If you want the complete paperpack so that you can finish your own layout. Just let me know. I can order it in advance or at class time.

I had time to play recently with Close to my Heart Christmas Paper and embellishments and here is what I did. This idea came from Lisa Stenz- she is another consultant and did this for Convention. It uses 1/3 of the Pear and Partridge paper pack, Holiday Dimensional elements($5.95), Pear and Partridge glitter rub-ons, new Rosette ribbon(few cents), and a printers tray($20). Costly but would make a great Christmas gift.

Close to my Heart has released a new cricut cartridge Artiste. This one does alot of 3D projects. The pumpkin is an example from this new cartridge.

     This is a cute hibiscus
flowered gift box with the new cricut. The paper is dark- so it's a little dark.

This is a 3D project of a strawberry that I cut
out and then ran thru the embossing folder to give it some texture. The possibilities are endless

This Pumpkin box is also a project from the Artiste cricut project. Fall is around the corner.
This is our new Close to my Heart-- Workshop on the Go Advent Calendar Kit. This festive holiday countdown uses a heavy duty chipboard for the cubby. The drawers are made of cardstock using the Artiste cartridge. This project compliments our Pear and Partridge papers

CTMH Cricut Ornaments and Gift Toppers

Beverly Tiemann did this cute video showing you how to use the CTMH cricut to cut shapes, stamp in them and make some awesome ornaments and gift toppers- gotta watch this one!!!!!

March classes are posted

This layout uses Close to my Heart's Wonderland Paperpack. When the paperpack came out I thought this would make a great winter layout, we have had some cold days, but not a lot of snow days. But I loved this layout.
This class is offered on March 23 at 6:30.

This LO shows off one of our new stamp sets featuring Easter. I just love these little peeps. I will show you how to make this cute little basket. And Close to my Heart has little springs that have popped up the bunny in the basket. The basket can be done in blue, pink or yellow. I have already hand cut out all the bunnies for you.
This class is also offered on March 23 at 6:30. The cost for both classes is $13. If interested please RSVP so I can have enough product ready for everyone. Snacks will be provided as usual.

I am also working on Easter projects that will be posted ASAP. They will be offered on March 22 at 7PM,  and after the March 23 classes, and March 24 at 1PM. I know you will like them.
You can email me at scrappy55@msn.com to RSVP and get directions to my scraproom. Sure hope to see ya there.

January layout class and card class is scheduled

Friday, January 20th at 6:30 PM will be a fun class. You have the opportunity to do 3 layouts. If you take as many photos as I do. Just one layout for Christmas pictures is not near enough. The first layout will be done in just a few minutes. All cutting will be done for you. In this layout you will stamp a few holly leaves and sentiment already precut with our exclusive Art Philosphy Cricut cartridge. You will do very little cutting- just the holly berries. This layout should be completed in a half hour or less.

Layout # 2 is a little bit more challenging but fun. You can't see it well, but you use a glitter glue dotted all around the center cutout, and use ribbon and hemp around the trees. All the layouts  are using our Believe paper packs. The layout idea for this layout was seen by another consultant, Helen Onulak, on Pinterest. Then she used our paper to come up with this idea. You will use sponges to daub on the paper to make the sweet leaf paper look sort of like suede.

Layout #3 is just the cutest. This layout idea is from our exclusive layout book Magic by Jeannette Lynton, the CEO of Close to my Heart. You may have seen this in the Fall/Winter idea book. I fell in love with this layout the minute I saw it. The layout demos the stickease that coordinate with the Believe paperpack.
By adding a few extra sheets of paper to the paper pack, I was able to make another layout using the back side of one of the Background and Texture papers. I have the perfect photos for this one, when two of my grandsons went to see Santa. Just by adding a few extra papers I was able to get 4 layouts from a paperpack and half a stickease packet.
This class includes the first 3 layouts: #1 Holly leaves, #2 Trees, and #3 Celebrate the Season with the reindeer. The cost is $22. I have room for just 6 people for this class.  As usual at my classes- food and chocolate will be provided -- they are a must!!!!  You will need to bring your own adhesive. I always have give away gifts. So if  interested email me ASAP. scrappy55@msn.com. I need to know by January 14 so I can have everything precut for you by Jan 20th. I will give you directions when you email me. Hope to see you there!!!!!!!!!!

The last layout #4, " I will always Believe" will only be available as an additional layout to 3-4 class participants for $10, because of the limited paper left over in the packs

Saturday, January 21 at 9:30 AM will be a card class. You will be using stamps, paper piercer, embellishments, and ribbon to create these cute cards: Birthday, Thinking of you, and Valentines. The cost is $9 for 5 cards and envelopes.  You do need to bring your own adhesive. There is no limit on this class, but again I need to know by January 14th, so I can have everything precut before the 21st. Snacks will be provided. And again, I always have give aways. Hope to see you at one or both classes. Email me at scrappy55@msn.com. I can give you directions.
